Our therapists are fully qualified professionals who have completed their training at Universities in Australia.Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists must complete intensive university degrees, and all of our team members are registered members of their respective national bodies (Speech Pathology Association of Australia and Occupational Therapy Australia). All of our team members regularly undertake specialised training and professional development to ensure we are up to date with the most current therapy techniques and practices.
Jacqui is one of the directors of Kids Focus Paediatric Services and principal Speech Pathologist. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology). She has worked in a variety of environments including Community Health, NGOs and her own Private Practice over many years.
Jacqui has presented at various workshops and is trained in a range of techniques including PROMPT, PECS, MULTILIT, SOS Approach to Feeding. She is a Hanen Certified Clinician who is able to teach parents individually and in groups in "It Takes Two to Talk" (for parents of children with Language Delays), "More Than Words" (for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder) and "Talkability" (people skills for verbal children on the Autism Spectrum) and is also a Cogmed practitioner.
Valli graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Speech Pathology) from Sydney University and brings to the team years of experience as a Speech Pathologist and is a mother of two (very active) young boys which certainly provides valuable insights into working with children.
Valli is trained in a range of techniques including Cogmed and has a particular interests in language development and phonological awareness. She works closely with teachers and parents and considers this involvement central to her work to ensure speech and language development across all contexts. Valli strives to make sessions fun and engaging (for all involved!). She has attended various workshops and conferences and continues to stay up-to-date with evidence based practice.
Andrew graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) with Honours; writing his thesis on communication impacts in Multiple Sclerosis. Andrew has worked for many years in private practices; delivering both clinic and school-based therapy and assessment. Andrew has worked closely with other allied health professionals, particularly occupational therapists.
Andrew is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients; achieving this through structured therapy that develops children’s skills through fun, play-based therapy, whilst developing parent’s skills for continuing therapy at home. He has completed a variety of workshops, conferences and training programs, including in the areas of play therapy, writing and vocational training. Andrew is committed to developing his clinical knowledge and skills and staying informed about current evidence-based practices.

Andrew has a strong interest in the area of literacy. In addition to his degree in Applied Science Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts; Majoring in Literature. He also works as a producer and presenter on Final Draft the literature program for Public Radio 2SER 107.3
Sam Clark Bach Speech Language Therapy (Hons) MSPAA, CPSP
Hanen Certified Speech Pathologist
Sam graduated from Queen Margaret University in Scotland with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy (Hons) in 2010. She travelled to Australia in 2011 where she has continued to work as a speech pathologist treating both adults and paediatrics. Sam is committed to developing her professional skill set through regular training and education. She is Hanen Certified as well as being trained in other areas such as PECS and PROMPT. She has worked in a variety of settings with a range of client types though has a particular interest in assessing and treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as those with language delays and speech sound disorders. Sam believes in taking a holistic approach to intervention through play-based and client-centred therapy which accounts for both developmental and functional, everyday skills. She also values working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and engaging closely with parents/carers in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for her families.
Lauren graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology). Since graduation, she has worked in a number of different settings, including Community Health, Early Intervention, Non-Government Organisations and Research. She is a mother of two children, and credits parenting with giving her a much more holistic view of child development.
Lauren has experience in presenting a range if workshops to parents and professionals.
She is trained in the Hanen “It Takes Two to Talk” Program, Multilit (Making Up Lost Time In Literacy), PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and Key Word Sign (formerly Makaton). Her clinical interests include speech sound disorders, hearing difficulties, and working with children and families who are bilingual. She enjoys working as part of a team with families, teachers and other professionals, to help children reach their potential.

Kate graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Speech Language Pathology. She has gained experience working with children with a range of speech and communication disorders and has worked closely with other allied health professionals when providing services. Kate has a strong passion for working with children on the Autism Spectrum and their families and has several years of experience working as an ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) therapist. Kate is committed to continuously developing her skills and knowledge through professional development activities so she can provide the best possible intervention for her clients and their families.
